Locally owned shops, restaurants, and entertainment establishments line the street, keeping it vibrant, colorful, artsy + diverse. Homes on Madison’s near east side cover the eastern half of the Isthmus, hugging both the Lake Mendota and Lake Monona shorelines. The near east side is vintage Madison, with homes featuring classic and unique architectural styles from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
